Rochester Hypnotherapy - Keeping Hypnotherapy Professional

Anyone who books in for Weight Loss sessions needs to be totally honest with me.

They will be required to fill in a  food diary and I expect them to be honest about their eating habits. I cannot help those people who insist that they only eat healthy meals and cannot lose an ounce.

If this is truly the case then please insist on a second opinion at your GP because if you are genuinely NOT eating between meals or are NOT eating the kids left overs and only eat when you are hungry and can leave something on your plate,  then there is a possibility of an underlying physical problem that I cannot help you with.

However if you want to stop eating 6 bags of crisps during the day and stealing your childrens packed lunch kit kats then I will be able to help you.

Words which I never use in my sessions:

  • Syns
  • Points
  • Calories
  • Fats
  • Scales

As well as her Professional Hypnotherapy and NLP Qualifications I also hold a NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Nutrition and Health.

I ONLY book 4 sessions  at least

and these sessions are LIFE CHANGING!

This service is personal one to one and WILL cost  much more than a months worth of crisps, biscuits, convenience food ,chocolate bars and a case of good wine!

And maybe a weekly take away ....

Some clients are happy to accept themselves as they are then  forget about what they  weigh and then settle down to lose what their body dictates over the timescale which is right for them not what is right for the thousands of diet books and celebrity driven money-spinning concepts..

I call  that  success!

*In the early days in my career a few clients didn't come back  after the first session because they did not lose the designated 2lbs in the first week.  This was in the early days when most novice Hypnotherapists were telling their clients that only one session was required, then I realised that many people do not have the full commitment to succeed and require much more indepth work. Therefore I will only take on clients for weight control who are prepared to work with me without wanting me to take full responsibilty for their lives; this takes at least 4 sessions...OR 4 HOURS.

"Through healthy eating and self hypnosis I personally have managed to drop from a size 22 to a size 18 since taking up residence in my Rochester Consulting room. It CAN be done!"

Weight loss clients often look for excuses and do not accept that there is an underlying cause for their weight problem, they do not address these issues with normal dieting and that is probably why they will continue on the treadmill of thinking that they are not responsible for what they put into their own mouths. Or await the magic weight loss pill, which every year they mention in the prime dieting season of January on the TV news.

I only want commited people who are prepared to work with me without question or doubt!

If you are serious about addressing  your  weight issue then please call me.

I am NOT a personal trainer a franchise owner or a nutritionist.

I work with the mind...that is what I have trained for and  that is what I do!

In February 2003 the BBC online business reporter Laura Cummings published "The Diet Business: Banking on Failure".

Her article states that: "The diet business has never been in better shape - unlike many of its clients. But with research suggesting 93% of slimmers regain the weight, does the diet industry rely on our failure to make its profits?"

Do the major diet companies know, or care, that they are not helping to keep people slim for life? For financial success these companies need dieters to keep returning to spend their money on yet another diet.

They are banking on your failure for their profits! And the 'serial dieter' blames themself (not the diet) for their failure and lack of will power.

The reason diets don't work is simple. Diets fail to deal with the real reasons people over-eat. Following a diet plan relies 100% on your will power, and we all know that will power crumbles over time.

Studies Show Hypnotherapy can Boost Weight Reduction

Over a decade of controlled, scientific studies and analytical reviews shows that hypnotherapy, in conjunction with proper exercise and nutrition can enhance weight reduction and help keep the weight off longer. A review of studies in leading medical journals, from 1985 to 1998 offers compelling evidence that hypnotherapy is the added ingredient that helps people stay on track with weight control.

Here’s what the studies found:

    * Hypnotherapy is highly effective in weight reduction when used in conjunction with behavioral therapy.
    * Effective hypnotherapy programs generally consist of six to eight or more sessions of group and/or individual hypnotherapy.
    * Study participants who scored highest in hypnotizability had the most significant weight reduction results.
    * In studies comparing a control group to a hypnotherapy group, the group exposed to hypnotherapy lost more weight and kept the weight off longer.
    * Hypnotherapy helps people correct faulty thinking and associations around food and helps people get control over non-hunger related eating.
    * In a study comparing the effects of behavioral therapy to those of hypnotherapy, the results were the same at the end of the study. However, at 8-months and 2 year follow-ups, only the hypnotherapy group continued to lose weight.
    * Hypnotherapy can be administered either by a therapist, or via hypnosis tapes, or via self-hypnosis and all three methods proved effective.
    * When hypnotherapy is administered by a trained therapist, each session can be tailored to the specific needs of each individual.
    * Hypnotherapy can help people remember specific weight reduction goals and behavioral recommendations.
    * Unlike most programs that focus only on diet and exercise, Hypnotherapy might include suggestions for ego-strengthening, decision making, stress management, self-soothing, mental rehearsal, and enhanced motivation, all of which are essential to successful weight management.
    * When hypnotherapy is used for weight reduction the benefits increase over time.
    * Subjects in weight control programs with hypnotherapy lose twice as much weight as compared to subjects in weight control programs that do not include hypnotherapy.
